Buy BrainstormBrainstorm by James Horner. Atlantic, 1983. VCD47215. Compact Disk release, Total Time 30'19.

Buy Ghost and Mrs. MuirThe Ghost & Mrs. Muir by Bernard Hermann, conducted by Leonard Bernstein. Uni/Varese Sarabande, 1988. VCD 47254. A minor part for Natalie Wood, but a great team up of talent for a soundtrack album.

Buy The Great Race Soundtrack The Great Race by Henry Mancini. Not available in the US but it was released a few years ago as an import (RCA-BMG/SC CD Club SCC-1009. Total Time 28'.) This is a re-issue of the old vinyl version (RCA Lpm-3402) of the score, where the music was re-recorded by Mancini instead of using the actual selections as they appeared in the film. As with the original album, the tracks do not include the film's "Main Title" or Natalie's(?) version of "The Sweetheart Tree," although the overture contains the choral version of the latter. Dorothy Provine's dance hall number is featured.

Buy The Party/The Great Race Another recent release is The Party/The Great Race, Bmg/Camden, 2001. This features selections from two Mancini Scores. RCA has recently released The Days of Wine and Roses: Henry Mancini, which has versions of The Great Race's "The Sweetheart Tree" and "The Great Race March." The Anthology of Henry Mancini, a 5 CD Japanese import, also features both these tracks as well as "The Pie-in-the-Face Polka."

Buy GypsyGypsy by Julie Styne & Stephen Sondheim. Rhino, 2003. Long out of print, Gypsy's soundtrack has been remastered for the first time for this expanded release. Includes the film version of the classic "Rose's Turn" and six rare outtakes. Liner notes include an essay by noted music historian George Feltenstein and rare historic photos, many of Natalie Wood. The CD itself features Natalie in costume from the film. Alternate versions of the original album tracks, as well as outtakes from the film, feature Russell, Wood and Malden.

The original vinyl album (Warner Brothers stereo BS1480, mono B1480) contained three tracks with Natalie on vocals, "Little Lamb," "When Momma Gets Married" with Ann Jillian and the versions of "Let Me Entertain You" from the end of the film. The song "Together Wherever We Go," which was cut from the re-release and video versions of the film, was featured on this soundtrack. The liner notes credit the number as a trio, but only Lisa Kirk, singing for Rosalind Russel, is heard. The new CD features the full Kirk version, as well as an excerpt of the trio.
